KALI LP 6 POWERED STUDIO MONITOR
Project Lone Pine 6.5″ Studio Monitor. KALI LP 6 POWERED STUDIO MONITOR, designed to deliver transparent sound for Music and Video creators.
An advanced waveguide, a large voice coil, and precision tuning make the sound extraordinarily transparent, while the oversized low frequency magnet and low noise port tube deliver powerful, clean bass response.
To make it easy to integrate the KALI LP 6 POWERED STUDIO MONITOR into your setup, the speaker is self-powered and has a variety of inputs.
The DSP features Boundary EQ settings that optimise the speaker’s response for where it’s placed in your listening space.
The Dip Switches on the back of the speakers can be encaged to compensate for the position of the speakers in the studio or room. A handy feature that rely works, proven by independent testing in different room settings.
There are handy, simple illustrations on the rear of the speakers that help demonstrate the Dip Switch settings for your particular speaker set-up in the studio or room. Making it easy for anyone to set the KALI Monitors up for the best audio performance in any studio or room environment.
The KALI LP 6 POWERED STUDIO MONITOR has a 80Watt Class D Amplifier built-in, with 85 dB continuous output at 2.2 metres with 20 dB headroom and a Frequency Response (-10 dB:) 38 Hz-25 kHz.
“This is a wonderfully designed monitor which is going to perform better than any passive speaker system you can put together in its price class.”
Why not include a pair of IsoAcoustic Speaker Stands, for added audio enhancement of the KALI LP 6 POWERED STUDIO MONITOR.
From Audioxpress.com: “The LP-6s (the LP stands for “Lone Pine,” a town in the California Sierra Mountains) have an almost Amish styling, plain but functional. They’re basically unadorned 0.75 ft3 15 lbs. black boxes with no grilles, a 6.5” plastic coned woofer, an oddly shaped front port, and a dome tweeter that is loaded with a shallow horn or waveguide.
The lack of a grille might cause issues in living room setups where there’s children present, but of course, for their intended use as monitors, the lack of grilles is a positive—there’s no acoustic issues with covering the front of the speakers. Front port location is useful for maximum placement flexibility. Their matte black finish and simple near-rectangular shape allow the speakers to blend in nicely with studio consoles and not be a visual distraction — clearly this design concentrates on function rather than form”.
